Wild Island is a beloved locally owned and operated waterpark and family entertainment complex. They’ve been delivering family fun since they opened in the summer of 1989, and while things have certainly changed over the years, they’ve only gotten bigger and better. Wild Island offers year-round entertainment, so whether you’re visiting Lake Tahoe for the sun, the snow, or everything in between, you’ll be able to take advantage of everything Wild Island has to offer!
Wild Island takes a huge amount of pride in their amazing employees – most of whom are teenagers! Many of them return year after year to work in a fun, supportive environment. Wild Island also invests in their young employees, giving out approximately 70 scholarships per year to help encourage hard-working individuals to pursue college or trade school.

Wild Island Family Adventure Park truly has something for everyone in the family to enjoy!
Let’s start with a summertime fan favorite: the waterpark! This outdoor playground is perfect for cooling off in the summer heat (but, as most outdoor water attractions in Lake Tahoe do, it does close in the winter.) Twisting and turning slides provide some pretty epic adrenaline rushes, and the Montego Bay Wave Pool is always a big hit. Younger kids will love the Little Lagoon, complete with kid-friendly splash equipment and three mini slides. There are private cabanas available for rent and plenty of food and drinks available to enjoy poolside.
The Coconut Bowl is a massive 125,000 square feet of family entertainment, complete with 46 lanes of bowling and a nightly Glow Bowling rock-and-roll laser show for the whole family to enjoy. Wild Island also has indoor mini golf and a newly reimagined indoor black light 12-hole course with interactive designs and CGI wonders. There’s laser tag, Glow Karts, an XD Adventure Series, and the High Ballocity interactive three-level play structure. They also have a huge arcade with old-school and new-school games and a massive prize store.
