Lazy 5 Regional Park
7100 Pyramid Way, Sparks, NV 89436
Lazy 5 Regional Park gets its name from the ranch that formerly owned the Sparks property; there’s nothing lazy about it! Located within Spanish Springs Valley, the park is home to two playgrounds, multiple picnic tables with barbecues, an exciting skatepark, and so much more! Kids will love splashing around in the water play park, and port enthusiasts will appreciate The Hive, a recreational facility complete with basketball and pickleball courts. Spend your day playing or simply visit for a hike or bike ride along one of Lazy 5 Park’s trails.
Pah Rah Mountain Park
3545 Vista Blvd., Sparks, NV 89436
Pah Rah Mountain Park is a beautiful, clean public space that has plenty of attractions for the whole Sparks family to enjoy. This 13-acre park is home to a variety of playfields, perfect for games and picnics. Basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts are available, as are horseshoe pits. Kids will love the multiple playground structures, as well as the massive play area featuring swings, a merry-go-round, and a jungle gym. Beautiful trails are perfect for walks with the kids and/or your leashed furbabies!
Highland Ranch Park

Highland Ranch Park is a popular space for Sparks families in search of plenty of great recreational space. Burn off some energy on the park’s basketball and volleyball courts, and then refuel with a barbecue picnic. Kids will love the playground structures, and parents will love that the playgrounds are fenced-in. There’s even a play space for little ones with equipment designed just for them to explore! Restrooms are conveniently located nearby, too, for any necessary pit stops.
Pelican Park

Pelican Park is a fantastic Sparks spot for a day of family fun. Kids and parents will love the well-designed playground area, stocked with safe and fun equipment that will let kids burn off energy and explore their imaginations. Nearby picnic tables make it easy for parents to keep a close eye on their little ones as they play. The 4-acre park also has great walking paths and plenty of shade. Basketball courts, a climbing rock, and a picnic area are also available for your enjoyment!
Sparks Marina Parks
300 Howard Drive, Sparks, NV 89434
Sparks Marina is a former quarry-turned-park that is filled with merely a billion gallons of water today. It’s well stocked with trout, bass, catfish, and carp, making it a great spot for fishing families. The surrounding park has a big dog park, a two-mile walking trail, and lots of open green space. Coffee shops, concession stands, and paddleboard and kayak rentals all enhance the Sparks Marina experience, too!
