Build-A-Bear has been there with us through the most significant moments in life. From special days out with our grandparents to graduation celebrations, they’ve been one of the best ways to make memories while honoring major milestones. And now that we’re parents, it’s time to pass that joy to the next generation. If you’re looking for a way to have a memorable day with your child, I would love to tell you why I think you should visit the Build-A-Bear in Reno.
5530 Meadowood Mall, Circle Space G108, Reno, Nevada 89502
Build-A-Bear was started in St. Louis by Maxine Clark, the former president of Payless Shoes. Shortly after she resigned from her job at the legendary shoe shop, she started thinking about the next stage of her career before deciding to let kids decide. She drew up three different plans for kids’ stores. She presented them to a group of children who ultimately decided on Build-A-Bear. Clearly, she chose some intelligent kids because the shop became so popular it quickly expanded. By the early 2000s, it had opened its first international shop. Today, there are over 500 locations under the current president, Sharon Price John. Even after creating 200 million bears, the simple devotion to kids’ fun remains at the store’s heart.
From the second you walk through the doors of Build-A-Bear Reno, you’re in a bright world filled with snuggly friends. The shop has endless options for you to create beyond just their signature bears. Build-A-Bear is home to familiar characters from franchises such as Trolls, Star Wars, Animal Crossing, and Hello Kitty. You can find animals, including axolotls, raptors, and raccoons. There are also specialty bears for birthdays, sports teams, and other celebrations. Once you select what you want to make, it’s time to stuff it and give it a heart. The shop allows you to add a recording if you want to make it extra special. From there, you’ll choose the outfits and accessories to make it your own.
Build-A-Bear is one of the best places to head for a birthday. The shop offers a “Pay Your Age” deal where, whatever age your child is turning, that’s the price you pay for their bear. The Reno location also hosts one-of-a-kind birthday parties. Your child will choose the theme they’d like for their party, and all the guests will get to create their own keepsake bears.
Your family can have an unforgettable day creating brand new friends at the Build-A-Bear Reno workshop. Check out the shop today so you can plan your next trip!
